Fox Den Country Club is seeking a qualified individual for the Position of Clubhouse Manager with the possibility of being an Assistant Manager position. A great opportunity for the right person at a great club.
Fox Den is a full service country club and its amenities include: 35,000 square foot club house, 18 hole championship golf course, driving range and practice facilities, 7 tennis courts, fitness center, Jr. Olympic and children’s swimming pools, and a snack bar. The clubhouse includes two member dining rooms and bars, a grand ballroom, and other private meeting rooms. The club has hosted the Knoxville Open for the last 11 years.
Works closely with the General Manager. Supervises the Club Chef and Events Coordinator. Responsible for the general operations of the clubhouse and locker rooms. Responsible for all Clubhouse food and beverage operations including the pool snack bar and beverage cart service on the golf course. Plans and executes all special events for the members. Coordinates all the club activities with other department heads and maintains a master calendar of events. |
Duties: |
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
 Hiring , training, supervising of service staff
 Monitoring and inspection of clubhouse cleanliness and kitchen sanitation
 Scheduling of service staff
 Written evaluations of employees
 Writes annual food and beverage budget
 Involved in developing and writing all food menus
 Assists in development of clubs beverage and wine lists
 Implementing and monitoring of inventory and payroll controls
 Marketing of events to the membership
 Meets monthly with the club's House Committee
 Understanding of, and ability to utilize financial statements
 Forecasting of sales
 Ensures profitability of food and beverage department

Qualifications: |
A proven leader with extensive food and beverage background and with experience working in the private club industry. A minimum of 5 years of management experience. Must have service training background. Sales management training and experience a plus. Understanding of golf, tennis, fitness and swimming pool operations a plus. An undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university is preferable or a degree from a leading hospitality institution.
