Description:

POSITION SUMMARY   Supervision of the night staff at Paradise Inn to include kitchen, lobby, desk and night security.

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT:  Calculator, computer, keyset telephone, copier, files, POS, PMS, and FAX.

NATURE AND SOURCE OF SUPERVISION:  Receives working direction from the Paradise Inn Manager.

 

 

 

 

    

Duties:

KEY JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Promote the spirt of Guest Services Hospitality Standards.
  • Is aware of environment at all times, promoting safety, security and sanitation.
  • Oversees night shift at the Paradise Inn, providing supervision of night auditor, night security, lobby and kitchen porters and kitchen prep.
  • Handles any guest issues that may occur to promote guest satisfaction.
  • Learns night audit and assists as needed.
  • Provides assistance to night security in employee and guest related issues.
  • Monitors and posts changes to payroll as directed.
  • Checks cleanliness of lobby and dining room areas prior to end of night shift.
  • Ensures that morning kitchen staff arrives as scheduled to open EDR and dining room
  • Checks night staff are in appropriate uniforms and have name tags.
  • Respods to trouble or fire alarms and resets enunciator panel as directed.
  • Performs or completes other such duties as designated.    

Qualifications:

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Education: High School or equivalent; some college preferred.

Must have entry leavel hotel management experience. Prior front desk and/or night audit experience preferred.

Must be able to speak clearly and listen attentively to guest, supervisors and employees. Must be able to write legibly as well as read and understand directions and instructions. Appearance must be in compliance with company guidelines.

Will be required to perform diverse physical tasks. Must be able to stoop, bend, grasp, handle, reach and perform repetitive motions. Must withstand exposure to wet floors. Must be able to lift up to 10 lbs periodically.

Must be service and safety oriented. Must possess a sense of awareness, urgency, humor, and common sense. Must be able to adapt to the isolation of park life.
