Our fine 5-star restaurant has been committed to offering superb cuisine and the finest service to our guests for decades.
We currently have an opening for a Chef de Cuisine for our El Bizcocho Restaurant.
This position is responsible for directly supervising the El Bizcocho cooks to ensure the quality of preparation and presentation of all El Bizcocho menu items.
Must have minimum 4 years experience in restaurant food preparation, including one year as head restaurant chef. Must have superior culinary skills and be able to show experience in an establishment of comparable status.
Only candidates with a culinary degree will be considered. Must have passion for your field and be interested in making an outstanding contribution to our culinary team.

Duties: |
-To assist, train, schedule and support El Bizcocho cooks to ensure efficient and professional preparation and service of all foods and beverages for El Bizcocho.
-To assist cooks to prepare foods on the "hot" line during service.
-To assist in the generation of new menu ideas and specials.
-To requisition supplies form the main kitchen and storeroom on a daily basis.
-To act as liaison between service and kitchen staffs to ensure service standards.

Qualifications: |
English fluency required. Spanish fluency helpful.
Must have minimum 4 years experience in restaurant food preparation, including one year as head restaurant chef.
The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability to train staff and ensure luxury resort customer service; have strong written and verbal communication skills; be detail oriented; organized and efficient; safety-minded; possess high quality standards for production and service; be a good team player and have the ability to effectively manage staff to maintain a high level of morale and productivity.
Familiar with OSHA, SB198, local Department of Health regulations and relevant current laws governing handling of hazardous substances.
Valid California driver's license required. Proof of personal automobile insurance coverage required.
