Summary: Supervises security personnel and provides administrative oversight for the department, while ensuring the safety and security of employees, guests and property.

Essential Job Functions:
• Oversees the day-to-day operations of the shift by scheduling staff and appropriate training, maintaining safety and security throughout the Casino by ensuring all policies, regulations, and procedures are followed.
• Monitors required reports and documents, writes and delivers employee evaluations, conducts interviews, disciplinary actions, and terminations as needed.
• Administers, clarifies, and reviews policies and procedures set forth by the department, Casino management, and the Grand Ronde Gaming Commission (GRGC).
• Manages and accounts for controlled gambling supplies including dice, cards, bingo balls, slot paper and other materials and equipment.
• Assists the Security Director with special investigations and/or technical reports; completes special projects as needed.
• Completes weekly payroll and corrects payroll related issues as required.
• Monitors the training and daily statistics of the dispatch center and the Field Training Officer and Evidence Custodian programs.
• Acts as the Manager on Duty when required.

• Makes recommendations to the Manager and Director for hiring and staff separations in accordance with company policies.

Education, Experience, Licenses, Registrations, and Certifications:
• Associate’s Degree in law enforcement, criminal justice or a related field, and two (2) years experience, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• High security gaming license issued by the Grand Ronde Gaming Commission.
Environmental Factors and Conditions/Physical Requirements:
• Work is normally performed in a gaming environment, frequently exposed to loud noise and tobacco smoke.
• Work is normally subject to standing, sitting, walking, bending, reaching, kneeling and occasional lifting of objects up to 50 pounds.
• Occasional exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, outside weather and Oleo Resin Capsicum.
• Must be able to pass random drug tests in accordance with Company policy.
Equipment and Tools Utilized:
• Equipment utilized includes personal computer, standard office equipment, telephone, audio/video equipment, chemical weapons, two-way radio, and department vehicles.
