Description:

POSITION SUMMARY: Sesonal Position from May to Oct. 9 To clean Paradise Inn kitchen each night in accordance with established GSI standards, policies and procedures. TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT: Cleaning agents and equipment. NATURE AND SOURCE OF SUPERVISION: Receives working direction from Kitchen Manager and/or Shift Supervisor.

Duties:

KEY JOB DESCRIPTIONS: • Promotes the spirit and intent of Guest Services Hospitality Standards. • Lock all food storage doors. • Lock kitchen doors - admit no unauthorized persons except night crew or management. • Remove garbage from kitchen; take cans outside and hose them inside and outside. • Clean all kitchen areas, hoods, walk-ins, floors, prep areas, etc., according to procedures in manual. • Check temperatures of all refrigeration equipment and report problems to kitchen management. • Performs such other related duties as directed or required.

Qualifications:

PREREQUISITES: Education: High school graduate preferred. PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS: • Similar job experience. PERSONAL QUALITIES AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to speak clearly and listen attentively. Must be able to write legibly as well as read and understand directions and instructions. Appearance must be in compliance with company guidelines;  must provide company approved slip reistant shoes. Will be required to perform diverse physical tasks. Must be able to stoop, bend, grasp, and perform repetitive motions. Some walking and stair climbing. Good physical energy, stamina, and agility. Must withstand exposure to wet floors. Exposure to wet floors. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds with assistance occasionally. Must be service and safety oriented. Must possess a sense of awareness, timelines, urgency, humor, and common sense. Must be able to adapt to the isolation of national park life.
