POSITION SUMMARY: Seasonal position from May 17 to Oct 4.  Measures, pours or mixes beer, wine and spirits as company standards prescribe; maintains service bar in compliance with health codes, safety and security protocols. TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT: Standard bar equipment, calculator, point of sale cash register system, credit card terminal. NATURE AND SOURCE OF SUPERVISION: Answers to and receives working direction from the Paradise Inn Dining Room Manager.

Duties:

KEY JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES: • Promotes the spirit and intent of Guest Services Hospitality Standards. • Follow all laws, health codes as set forth by Federal and/or State laws or codes (whichever applies). • Stocks bar for daily service. • Measures, mixes or pours alcoholic beverages for dining room guests as orders are placed by dining room wait staff; for lobby guests as orders are placed by cocktail server;  may perform duties as a wait person and cocktail server  • Prepares daily condiment and alcoholic beverage orders for next day delivery. • Sets up and closes bar for daily shift as directed. • Accounts for all breakage/empty bottles for replacement. • Assists in monthly inventories of beer and wine useage. • Cleans all glassware and utensils utilized during shift. • Maintains high level of cleanliness in service bar at all times. • Perform side duties in accordance with Manager's direction. • Performs other related duties as directed or required

Qualifications:

PREREQUISITES: • Education: High School Diploma; secondary education preferred;  current Washington State food handler's and MAST certification. PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS: • Knowledge of all bar products; complete working knowledge of standard bar recipes. Minimum one year high volume bartending experience. PERSONAL QUALITIES AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to speak clearly and listen attentively to guests, supervisors and employees. Must be able to write legibly as well as read and understand directions and instructions. Appearance must be in compliance with company guidelines;  must provide company approved slip resistant shoes. Will be required to perform diverse physical tasks. Must be able to stoop, bend, grasp, and perform repetitive motions. Some walking and stair climbing. Good physical energy, stamina, and agility. Must withstand exposure to wet floors. Must be able to tolerate and work in cold weather. Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds with assistance occasionally. Must be service and safety oriented. Must possess a sense of awareness, timelines, urgency, humor, and common sense. Must be able to adapt to the isolation of park life.
