POSITION SUMMARY: Sesonal position from May to Oct 4 Welcome and greet guests; seat guests in prescribed manner that assures prompt and attentive service; monitor quality and timeliness of service. TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT: Wine bottle opener. NATURE AND SOURCE OF SUPERVISION: Receives working direction from the Paradise Inn Dining Room Manager and Assistant Managers.

Duties:

KEY JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES: • Promotes the spirit and intent of Guest Services Hospitality Standards. • Follow all laws, health codes as set forth by Federal and/or State laws or codes (whichever applies). • Welcome guests as they enter the dining room in a professional and courteous manner. • Seat guests by distributing the tables evenly between Waitstaff to ensure prompt and efficient service. • Escort guests to tables; check tables for cleanliness when seating. • Create waiting list as required. • Assist wait staff by refilling beverages when needed. • Assist bussing tables as needed. • Per shift, check tables are lined up in order; cleanliness and appearance of table centerpieces, chairs, station tops, menus and high chairs. • Monitor dining room in absence of assistant manager. • Sets up station charts and assign wait staff. • Performs other related duties as directed or required.

Qualifications:

PREREQUISITES: • Education: High School Diploma; secondary education preferred. PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS: • One-year similar experience in fine dining room. PERSONAL QUALITIES AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to speak clearly and listen attentively to guests, supervisors and employees. Must be able to write legibly as well as read and understand directions and instructions. Appearance must be in compliance with company guidelines. Will be required to perform diverse physical tasks. Must be able to stoop, bend, grasp, kneel, handle, reach and squat. Extensive walking on hardwood floors. Good physical energy, stamina, and agility. Must withstand exposure to wet floors. Must be able to continuously lift and lower a serving tray weighing approximately 25 pounds without assistance. Must be service and safety oriented. Must possess a sense of awareness, timelines, urgency, humor, and common sense. Must be able to adapt to the isolation of park life.
