| POSITION SUMMARY: Seasonal position from May 1 to Oct 4 Assists the Dining Room Manager in directing all phases of the Paradise Inn Dining Room. Run the dining room in associate capacity with other Assistant Manager, providing excellence in service and adhering to established procedures. TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT: All food and beverage equipment, 10-key calculator, Aloha POS. NATURE AND SOURCE OF SUPERVISION: Receives working direction from the Dining Room Manager. |
Duties: |
| JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Promotes the spirit and intent of Guest Services Hospitality Standards. Checks dining room appearance each meal service, ensuring clean chairs and tables, table linens, proper table setting, floor cleanliness, etc. Schedules and trains dining room staff. Checks and ensures completion of opening and closing side duties of wait, bus and host staff. Ensures staff appearance is within company guidelines of grooming and uniform standards. Runs the station chart and seats guests. Assists as needed in greeting, seating, beverages, bussing, cleaning, resetting, etc. Trains service staff in proper steps of quality food service. Monitors employee attendance record sheet for accuracy and potential overtime. Directs the dining room operation as assigned. Performs such other related duties as directed or required. |
Qualifications: |
PREREQUISITES: Education: High school graduate or equivalent. PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS: • One year experience in high volume restaurant. PERSONAL QUALITIES AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to speak clearly and listen attentively. Must be able to write legibly as well as read and understand directions and instructions. Appearance must be in compliance with company guidelines. Must provide company approved slip resistant shoes, cork screw, battery operated calculator and current Washington State MAST certification and Food Handlers Card. Will be required to perform diverse physical tasks. Must be able to stoop, bend, grasp, and perform repetitive motions. Extensive walking and stair climbing. Good physical energy, stamina and agility. Exposure to wet floors. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds frequently with assistance. Must be service and safety oriented. Must possess a sense of awareness, timelines, urgency, humor, and common sense. Must be able to adapt to the isolation of national park life. |
