| POSITION SUMMARY: Seasonal postion from May 1 to Oct. 8. Controls and directs the Paradise Area housekeeping department to maintain a consistently high standard of cleanliness in guest, public and employee areas. Exercise strict control of cleaning, paper and linen supplies to be cost effective. TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT: Variety of cleaning supplies, vacuum cleaners, files, keyset telephones and intercom, guest and employee linens, radio and employee/master keys. NATURE AND SOURCE OF SUPERVISION: Receives working direction from Rooms Division Manager. |

| KEY JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES: • Promotes the spirit and intent of Guest Services Hospitality Standards. • Must be familiar with all housekeeper duties. • Trains housekeeping personnel. • Schedules all housekeepers and completes time cards. • Orders all paper and cleaning supplies for housekeeping, bellhops and lobby porters. • Directs opening of the department each day with chore and floor assignments. • Interfaces with the front desk staff to efficiently house guests with minimal amount of waiting. • Conducts room inspections on a regular time schedule. • Works with the Ashford Warehouse Manager and laundry supervisor to facilitate the smooth rotation of guest linen. • Attends management staff meetings and Safety training sessions as directed. • Completes all assigned reports on time and accurately. • Performs all duties in the housekeeping department during staff shortages or peak periods of season. • Responsible for maintaining adequate daily inventory of supplies and communicating this to the Ashford Warehouse Supervisor. • Maintains log of Lost and Found items in accordance with procedures in the manual. • Handle personnel problems and conflicts, referring to other management when necessary and communicate effectively with staff that have limited English language skills. • Inspect staff each day and enforce GSI appearance and uniform standards. • Gives working direction of hotel room pre-season set-up under the guidance of Paradise Inn manager and Operations Manager. • Gives working direction and participates in hotel room post-season closure. • Performs such other related duties as directed or required. |

| PREREQUISITES: Education: High school graduate PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Two years experience in similar housekeeping supervisory position. PERSONAL QUALITIES AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to speak clearly and listen attentively. Must be able to write legibly as well as read and understand directions and instructions. Appearance must be in compliance with company guidelines. Will be required to perform diverse physical tasks. Must be able to stoop, bend, grasp, and perform repetitive motions. Extensive walking and stair climbing. Good physical energy, stamina, and agility. Must withstand exposure to wet floors. Must be able to tolerate and work in cold weather. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds with assistance occasionally. Must be service and safety oriented. Must possess a sense of awareness, timelines, urgency, humor, and common sense. Must be able to adapt to the isolation of park life. |
