| POSITION SUMMARY: A seasonal position June 5 to Sept. 8 Controls and directs operation of fast food and retail service with strong attention to sanitation, quality of product, guest satisfaction and cost control. TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT: All kitchen and dining room equipment, also cash registers, calculators, credit card terminal, keyset telephone, photocopy machine, combination safe. NATURE AND SOURCE OF SUPERVISION: Receives working direction from the Operations Manager. Interfaces with Local Controller, Personnel Manager, and Retail Operation Manager. |
Duties: |
| KEY JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES: • Promotes the spirit and intent of Guest Services Hospitality Standards. • Remain aware of safety and security issues in your unit and environment. • Promote Career Development and Workplace Diversity. • Kitchen safety and sanitation. • Training, scheduling and supervision of food service employees, ensuring staff in compliance with appearance and uniform policies of GSI. • Planning and execution of employee meals and daily specials. • Ordering, monthly inventory and inventory control of kitchen consumables and supplies. • Maintenance of department records such as transfers, time cards, payroll, daily cash reports, etc. • Supervise retail operations as well as fast food, completing all necessary paperwork including daily summary, bank deposits and safe count. • Assist in all positions during staffing shortages or during periods of peak business. • Handle personnel problems and conflicts within established guidelines, seeking advice from the Operations manager and Personnel Manager as needed. • Attend NPS inspection walk-throughs. • Maintain very high health and sanitation standards in accordance with GSI, NPS and Health Department guidelines. • Performs such other related duties as directed or required. |

| PREREQUISITES: Education: College degree preferred. PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS: • Two years experience in similar position. Must be able to pass a personal credit check. Must have current Washinton State food handler's or ServSafe certification. PERSONAL QUALITIES AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to speak clearly and listen attentively to guests, supervisors and employees. Must be able to write legibly as well as read and understand directions and instructions. Appearance must be in compliance with company guidelines; must provide company approved slip resistant shoes. Will be required to perform diverse physical tasks. Must be able to stoop, bend, grasp, kneel, handle, reach and squat. Extensive walking and stair climbing. Good physical energy, stamina, and agility. Must withstand exposure to wet floors. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds periodically. Must be service and safety oriented. Must possess a sense of awareness, timelines, urgency, humor, and common sense. Must be able to adapt to the isolation of park life |
