| POSITION SUMMARY: Compiles Daily Cash Report for transmittal to the Corporate Office. TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT: Personal computer, Windows, Excel, Word, multi-line telephones, FAX machine, ten-key calculator, check protector, postage meter and all office supplies. NATURE AND SOURCE OF SUPERVISION: Receives working direction from Accounting Supervisor. |
Duties: |
| JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: • Promotes the spirit and intent of Guest Services Hospitality Standards. • Audits individual unit reports daily. • Communicates with Accountant/Cashier at Paradise and/or other unit supervisors as necessary with regard to any incongruities in the individual reports. • Researches credit card charge backs. • Prepares invoices for accounts receivable amounts that appear on the hotel audit sheet. • Enters cash reports on the computer and transmits them to Corporate Office on a timely basis. • Updates related sales report spreadsheet on the computer. • Process and monitor Reservation deposits. • Process and verify commissions to be paid. • Packages all cash reports and related paperwork for storage in the Warehouse. • Retrieves and organizes cash reports, hotel audits and any related paperwork that is specifically requested by Corporate auditors for semi-annual inspection. • Performs such other related duties as directed or required. |
Qualifications: |
| PREREQUISITES: Education: High school graduate. Formal training or education in accounting functions. PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Three years in accounting. PERSONAL QUALITIES AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to speak clearly and listen attentively. Must be able to write legibly as well as read and understand directions and instructions. Appearance must be in compliance with company guidelines. Will be required to perform diverse physical tasks. Must be able to stoop, bend, grasp, and perform repetitive motions. Must be able to be in a sitting position for 2 hour stretches. Must be able to lift 10 pounds periodically. Must be service and safety oriented. Must possess a sense of awareness, timelines, urgency, humor, and common sense. Must be able to adapt to the isolation of national park life. |
