Description:

A sesonal position from May to Oct. A grave year shift Position requires public contact utilizing customer service skills; accounting and front desk experience;  ability to use property management system;  work independantly with limited supervision. 

Nature and Source of Supervision:  Receives working direction from the Paradise Inn Night Manager.

Duties:

*Greet guests and park visitors, providing necessary information and services. * Operates phone system and base radio acting as communication center for night crew. *Complete guest check-in and check-out procedures being fully trained in the operation of the Property Management System. *Completes daily audit of transactional activity of the day. * Runs required audit/management reports as specified, investigates and corrects discrepancies.  *Updates room status, maintenance requests and lost-and-found logs.  *Trained in reservation, cancellation and change procedures. *Provide information on surrounding areas, history and National Park Service activities. *Compiles and checks daily cash reports for completion and accuracy. *Verify readings, over-rings, credit cards etc. *Monitors fire ennunciator panel. *Responds to guest issues.  *Performs such other related duties as directed or required.

Qualifications:

•Six (6) months or more of similar job experience. Must be able to speak clearly and listen attentively. Must be able to write legibly as well as read and understand directions and instructions. Appearance must be in compliance with company guidelines. Must be able to stoop, bend, grasp, and perform repetitive motions. Exposure to wet floors. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Must be service and safety oriented. Must possess a sense of awareness, timelines, urgency, humor, and common sense.  Must be able to adapt to the isolation of national park life.
